Developmental Editing
For those projects that need a big brainstorm, a developmental edit can help the lightning strike. If you’re stuck mid-draft or just can’t put your finger on what’s not working, we’ll work together to peel back the layers on the why of your work and discover the missing link. Includes a written summary of my feedback and a 1-hour call to discuss our questions and ideas.
Proofreading
Have you ever caught a typo in a published book? Somehow, one or two always manage to slip through the cracks. Proofreading is your extra-set-of-eyes pass to make sure all is set and ready for the press, so you don’t become a statistic. I’ll track my changes and make corrections to spelling, grammar, and punctuation, as well as (occasional) suggestions to improve a turn of phrase.
Copyediting
If you’ve said what you need to say — but want to make sure you’ve said it well — a round of copyediting can clean up your prose and ensure that your point is coming across loud and clear. I’ll provide line edits and comments directly on your document with suggestions for how to make improvements on the sentence-, paragraph-, and chapter-level.
Copywriting
